Dance Movement & Wellness Coaching
Day to day living is a task and a half in "normal" adulthood - Fast-paced living means that in this day and age we sacrifice ourselves, we don't practice as much self-care as we should. Your wellbeing is a combination of factors within your life and it's a challenge to try to balance physical, emotional, social, mental and environmental aspects of your wellbeing all at once. I know myself i tend to concentrate on some more than others, are you the same? The key is to try and find an even keel, if you're feeling frustrated with the way that you are living your life right now it's time to make an investment into yourself...
Much of our wellbeing comes down to what we do and don’t do. We can’t control all aspects of our health, but we can manage our lifestyle and much of its impact on us (Normand & Bober, 2020).
In-terms of your behaviour patterns, do you ever wonder why you behave in a certain way when it comes to your health and wellbeing? Most of us put personal health and wellbeing at the bottom of the list... Why don't we have it as one of our top priorities...?
My personal wellness journey over the past four years has been a rollercoaster, many of my negative behavioural patterns have come to light... Over those four years i have been working hard to implement a variety of practices to move those behaviours to positives. I now take full responsibility and recognise within myself when I need to make the necessary changes to maintain equilibrium in my life - This is because I know how much it benefits my emotional, physical and mental well-being.
So a bit about me... I have been working within health & wellbeing for over 6 years specialising in dance movement as a form of light therapy for people suffering with low mental health. (You can read more about me on my Bio page).
As a wellness coach, my aim is to bring you to a place where you feel comfortable to focus on making life changing shifts. We will work collaboratively to find ways to improve your discipline and acknowledgement of your lifestyle boundaries. From our open conversations within your one-to-one coaching sessions we will hopefully come to highlight the factors that are impacting your wellbeing in a negative way. It’s about assisting you to find maintainable ways to live better - In 2024 we want to "Thrive not just Survive". What is Wellness Coaching?
“Wellness coaching is where a practitioner focuses on their client's physical, emotional, and behavioral health. While the client often has a specific goal, the wellness coach typically addresses their lifestyle more holistically. What To Expect
A client-centred approach providing support, motivation, and accountability. A space to be open, transparent and honest whilst sharing your story. With me working as your coach I will be offering guidance, education, and personalised strategies to promote sustainable behaviour change.
As your coach I will help you to recognise how the following factors can impact your lifestyle, health and confidence:
- Biological Factors, e.g. physical health, genetics, diet, sleep, age
- Psychological Factors, e.g. beliefs, mental health diagnoses, perception, addictions, stress, trauma
- Social Factors, e.g. relationships, family, culture, work-life balance, finances, loneliness, weather conditions

How Do You Work With a Coach?
First, you'll sit down with me, your wellness coach over the phone or in person. The sessions will range from 30 minutes to an hour. During that time you'll talk about what you want to accomplish. Through the questions I will ask, together we'll define your goals and the challenges that could stand in your way. Then we'll outline the steps you'll need to take to achieve these goals.
Expect to have little tasks to think about or do within your 30 days, or over a period of a few months... This might be in the form of journal writing, logging physical activity or action planning. I will also be on-hand to support and guide you along the way via direct message or email to hold you accountable.
Coaching Packages
Package One: A 30-day Intensive to Self-Discovery
What is included?
- Two coaching sessions during the 30-days (1 hour duration), one at the start of the program and one around week 3. These can be in-person or online.
- Unlimited message support Monday – Friday within specified times.
- SS Dance & Wellbeing Self-Discovery Workbook.
Package Two: 12 Weeks Self-Discovery & Transformation
What is included?
- Six coaching sessions during the 12 weeks (1 hour duration), two per month chosen from available dates. These can be in-person or online.
- Unlimited message and email support Monday - Friday within specified times.
- Two SS Dance & Wellbeing Workbooks.
- An 'Intentions' questionnaire for direction, motivation and focus.
- Weekly accountability check-ins from wellness coach.
Package Three: 12-Week DanceFIT & EnerVIBES
What is included?
- Nine personalised Dance Fitness sessions - All taking place online unless agreed elsewhere.
- Three coaching sessions with SS Dance & Wellbeing Self-Discovery workbook (In-person or online)
- Unlimited message and email support Monday - Friday within specified times.
- Two class passes to Fitness DANCE Fusion (Birstall, Huddersfield or Dewsbury) to be used within 12-week plan.
- Weekly accountability check-ins from wellness coach.
Package Four: DanceFIT Your Way (Busy Mamas 'n' Papas package)
What is included?
- Six Dance Fitness sessions - All taking place online.
- Activity Diary & Journal Prompts
- One class pass to attend Fitness DANCE Fusion (Birstall, Huddersfield or Dewsbury) to be used within 6-week plan
- Weekly check-ins
